Student Day was started in 2006 as an initiative to support the automotive educational programs at schools by exposing students to the wide range of opportunities in the industry through speakers, corporate support and event participation.
Presented by Summit Racing Equipment and the International Show Car Association (ISCA), AutoRama, World of Wheels, and Cavalcade of Customs are committed to the future by hosting these annual “Career Days” where students and instructors enjoy exposure to the aftermarket hot rod industry. This educational opportunity features guest speakers who share their experience, knowledge and convey their passion of the industry.
AutoRama welcomes automotive school groups of high school and college level students. New for this year includes automotive design, engineering, manufacturing, marine, motorcycle, small engine and welding. This interactive learning experience allows students to participate in a positive and valuable “hands-on” educational experience.
The “Career Day” participants enjoy a discounted admission cost of $10.00 per ticket. Online pre-registration is required for ALL registrations regardless of registration date; however, additional tickets are available for last-minute purchase at the door only for $10.00 per ticket. Tickets are valid ONLY for FRIDAY admission.
Student Career Day begins on Friday with a general session starting promptly at 9:30am & 10:30am respectively. Plan to arrive early to document attendance and allow time to collect tickets upon registration. The general session will last approximately 45 minutes which includes: Distribution of donated items (hats, magazines, stickers etc.), special interactive show features, brief comments from sponsors and guest speakers, and drawings for prizes and giveaways.
Following the session, students will be allowed to preview the show ahead of opening to the general public. During the day, they will have an opportunity to meet with car owners and builders, participate in several interactive exhibits, and talk to representatives from area colleges and tech schools. Scholarship opportunities are also available from many of these schools.
