Gene Spaziani’s 1966 Chevy II SS is this week’s Meguiar’s Ride of The Week!
We were lucky enough to see his hot rod out of Waxahachie, TX before the Goodyear tires took to the track for the summer.
Gene bought the car in 2019 and built it himself. After several months of work on the car prepping the body, interior and putting parts together, the project had a minor setback. Gene had an accident breaking his left leg and right foot confining him to a wheelchair. With determination and focus, Gene completed the project in five months from his wheelchair. Impressive!!
The Chevy II sports Flame Red paint applied by the folks at Twisted Metal Rods & Collision and Meguiar’s keeps it Cross link out of Dallas completed the powder coating work. The all steel ’66 boy has a Harwood cowl induction fiberglass hood. Auto Meter gauges share information coming from the 598 CI BBC. The Powerglide installed by Hydra Star in Mansfield, TX transfers power to the Weld Wheels pushing this beautiful hot rod down the track.
We appreciate Gene sharing his Chevy II with us and wish him well racing this summer. Interested in showing your vehicle at an Autorama event? Please visit www.autorama.com! For more information about the great line of Meguiar’s Car Care Products, please visit www.meguiars.com!
